Early Childhood Division

Magnolia Oak Microschool's Early Childhood Division accepts children as early as 6 weeks to Pre-K4. Our Early Childhood program is also inclusive, accepting Neurotypical children,  Neurodivergent ( Down Syndrome or Developmental delayed), and intellectually disabled.  The early childhood program is an all-year program. We are open Monday through Friday.  We use Mississippi State's Early Guidelines for curriculum and activity guide for infants to Pre-K 4. Additionally, we track our early scholars' development using CLASS.  Our goal is to foster a family-like atmosphere where children are nurtured, loved, supported, and taught.

Our classrooms are thoughtfully designed using learning centers. Learning centers consist of art, blocks, manipulatives/ table toys, dramatic play (housekeeping), reading/listening, science, math, ABC/phonics centers, and small group instruction with the teacher. Learning centers are used to teach children through play. The design of the classroom allows children to explore the world around them on their own level.
